Winter Solstice Retreat in Cozumel Mexico

December 16th - 22, 2024

Take this golden opportunity to renew yourself in the beauty of the Caribbean Sea in the Mayan Riviera.

Journey Through the Elements

The elements of Wind, Water, Fire, and Earth collide with magical intensity at the Caribbean shoreline of Cozumel Mexico. Come and immerse yourself in this elemental sanctuary at the low tide mark of the year to alchemically recalibrate, recuperate and rejuvenate your being to become vital, vibrant, and victorious up to the summer solstice.

Rejuvenate yourself in the pristine beauty of the ancestral land of the Maya with sacred yoga and meditation. We will offer sunrise morning sadhana, ceremonies of purification, and daily deep practice to enter and experience a space of peace and calm with our surroundings.

Our retreat location is a lovely intimate eco-friendly oceanfront hotel in Cozumel on a quiet sandy beach. This is where we practice, renew and restore. Our hotel is on the east side of Cozumel in a relaxed atmosphere away from the busy resorts where there is always a sea breeze and the silent noise of mother nature. Be prepared to relax, renew and receive.

We are in a peaceful magical location where we can retreat, be at one with nature, bask in the beautiful colors of the ocean, and immerse and sleep with the sound of the rolling waves.

Please note that this is a comfortable minimal rustic hotel.  It is not a marble bathroom luxury boutique hotel with perfect wifi in each room and every amenity, but an opportunity to unplug and unwind.

Submit your deposit or pay-in-full to secure your space for this closing of 2024 celebration. Sign up today, space is limited.

ABOUT COZUMEL

This island was a sacred sanctuary of Ixchel Goddess of the Moon, Fertility, Medicine, and Joy.

Originally settled approximately 2000 years ago by Mayans, Cozumel was a mecca for Mayan women in particular. At least once in their lifetimes, they would make the treacherous journey from the mainland in wooden canoes to worship IxChhel, the goddess of fertility, medicine, midwifery, and weaving.

Cozumel was a commercial and ceremonial center during the Mayan period (about 250 to 950 ce), and the island has several small archaeological sites.

MAYAN ARCHAELOGICAL SITES ON THE ISLAND WE WILL VISIT

Zona Arqueológica San Gervasio

Mayan women used to visit this shrine in central Cozumel to pay tribute to the Goddess of Love and fertility, Ixchel

El Cedral

Mayan Temple located on the southern end of Cozumel and one of the easiest to visit during a day on the Mexican island. It dates back to 800 A.D. and is the oldest Mayan site on the island. You can visit El Cedral which once served as a revered  ceremonial Temple of Fertility.

This is a Yatra - a sacred journey - a yoga and deep meditation retreat practicing sacred Kundalini Kriyas as the mode of transformation of consciousness guided by the Temples of Light and shared by the Kindred Spirits who will accompany you. All are welcome.
